Marie Molliens interrogates the circus codes with a contemporary look, revealing moments of surpassing, end angerment of body and the ferocious and intimate way of feeling the blackness of guilty desires and stifled bitterness.
Six circus performers, three musicians waving our fleshly impulses with a carnal delicacy.Balancing and acrobatic lifts, on the wire or the Russian bar, music and acrobatics : we capture fragments of life, a fight to the point of no return, an internal revolt in the manner of Duras. Between the Asian refinement of cinema Wong Kar Wai and baroque folly of Fellini, “Morsure” stages the cruelty of human relationships in a circus-theater through dramatically by violence and contemporary fears.
Narrate the madness which leads a romantic devastation, through characters who don’t know hug each other : by impossible gestures of tenderness, repeated ,leading to moves that will inevitably collapse, and show awkward hugs, missed ,indifferent .
The desire to live anyway, and dare «to make films».
But the circus takes the risk …
